Manchester Staycation Bucket List

It looks like holidays abroad are off the cards, but don’t worry, you can travel as far as you like within England – so why not start with Manchester? We have luxurious self-catering apartments located in the heart of the city which you can book online! We will provide a comfortable space for you to relax during your staycation, while you enjoy what the city has to offer. So here are some recommendations on what to do in Manchester.

1.     Underground arcade bar

If you’re a gamer, then listen up. NQ64 is a unique gaming arcade bar which is a hidden gem in the Northern Quarter. Glowing with neon signs, the bar has all the classic video games such as Pac Man and Guitar Hero. It will take you back to your childhood as you gather your tickets to play – but perhaps have a beer in your hand also! This is a great spot for any groups looking for something fun to do.

2.     Shopping

Manchester is full of shopping spots, so you won’t find it easy saving your money! Located just outside the city centre, is the famous Trafford Centre. You could spend hours on end in here as it is equipped with huge brands such as Selfridges, Primark and Stradivarius, but also has an ODEON IMAX where you can catch the latest blockbusters! You really could spend a full day here as they also have over 60 restaurants to choose from.

3.     Bottomless Pizza

You may have heard of bottomless brunch, but have you heard of bottomless pizza? You heard right, Crazy Pedro’s is a popular spot for pizza and drinks in Manchester. The bar offers unlimited pizza slices and drinks including prosecco and beer, for £25 per person across 90 minutes! It doesn’t get much better than that.

4.     Dine Alfresco

With the summer weather just around the corner, enjoy the experience of dining alfresco in Manchester. This is perfect for lounging in the sun while enjoying a delicious meal at various spots in the city. Check out Edge Street which has been completely transformed into a pedestrian area for dining outdoors. You can find Home Sweet Home here which serves iconic brunch dishes and a range of drinks.

5.     Visit the BrewDog Bar

If you’re a fan of the iconic BrewDog craft beer, then you need to visit the bar whilst staying in Manchester. The vibrant bar is just as good as it’s beer and is proud to be a dog friendly environment if your pooch has joined your staycation! It is also child friendly until 9pm, so even if you’ve brought the kids along, it’s no problem.

6.     Visit a Football Stadium

Whether you’re a United or City fan – or neither, visiting one of the famous stadiums is still worth it. Take the family on a tour of the Old Trafford grounds and museum or perhaps the Eithad Stadium
